Glee star Amber Riley recently stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show to share a few stories and join forces with host Hudson on the Dreamgirls showstopper "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going."
Riley won the Olivier for her performance as Effie in the 2016 London revival of Dreamgirls, while Hudson won an Oscar for playing
Effie in the 2006 film version. Watch the two artists blend their voices in a roof-raising version of the hit tune above.
Henry Krieger and Tom Eyen's Dreamgirls won six Tony Awards
in its 1982 Broadway premiere. The late Michael Bennett took home the award for
Best Choreography alongside collaborator Michael Peters. Jennifer
Holliday memorably created the role of Effie to Tony-winning effect,
stopping the show nightly with "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going."
The film, adapted and directed by Bill Condon, earned Hudson the Golden Globe and Academy Awards for her portrayal of Effie.
