Broadway News Sutton Foster and Her Husband Welcome a Baby Girl The two-time Tony winner and Younger TV star has adopted a baby.

Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster and her husband, screenwriter Ted Griffin, recently welcomed a baby girl, according to People Magazine.

Emily Dale Griffin was born March 5. Foster made the announcement during her concert appearance for Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series at Alice Tully Hall on April 14.

"Our lives are forever changed, and our hearts are exploding,” Foster said. She and Griffin wed in October 2014.

Foster recently appeared as Charity Hope Valentine in The New Group’s production of Sweet Charity Off-Broadway. She currently stars on TVLand’s Younger as Liza, a 40-year-old woman who leads a double life as a 26-year-old in order to restart her career.

Foster recently merged her worlds of theatre and television when she guest starred on Netflix’s reboot of Gilmore Girls with ex-husband and fellow Tony winner Christian Borle as actors in the Stars Hollow community musical (with music written by Tony winner Jeanine Tesori).

The actor is best known on stage for her Tony-winning performances as Reno Sweeney in the 2011 revival of Anything Goes and as Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie. She also starred on Broadway as Jo in Little Women, Janet Van De Graff in The Drowsy Chaperone, Inga in Young Frankenstein, Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical, and Violet in Violet.
