Max Crumm, seen on Broadway in Grease and Disaster!, will star in the new musical The Evolution of Mann, which will make its New York premiere beginning September 23 at The Cell, 338 W. 23rd St.
Directed by Joe Barros, the limited engagement will officially open October 4 for a run through October 21. Additional casting will be announced.
The show features a score by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children’s Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book and lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel Nine Wives.
The Evolution of Mann follows Henry Mann, a 30-something single New Yorker eager to settle down. After receiving an invitation to his ex-fiancée’s wedding, he and his lesbian roommate embark on a quest to find Henry’s soulmate—his perfect date.
