The Dramatists Guild Foundation honored the life and work of award-winning Wicked composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz with a celebration concert at the Hudson Theatre April 23.
Directed by Scott Schwartz (Stephen's son) with music direction by DGF President Andrew Lippa, the evening featured performances by Tony, Grammy, and Oscar-winning composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Tony winner Ben Platt, Darren Criss, Lindsay Mendez, Renée Fleming, and more.

Proceeds from Stephen Schwartz’s 70th Birthday Concert go to supporting the Dramatists Guild Foundation, a national charity that fuels the future of American theatre by supporting the writers who create it.
Schwartz has been inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and has been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His additional accolades include three Academy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and the Isabelle Stevenson special Tony Award.
