Alan Cumming’s new drama Instinct will premiere March 11 on CBS. Written by Michael Rauch and based on the book by James Patterson, Instinct follows a former CIA operative, played by Cumming, now living as a professor and a writer who is pulled back into his old life to help stop a serial killer. Instinct co-stars Bojana Novakovic, Daniel Ings, Naveen Andrews, and Sharon Leal.
Last seen on Broadway reprising his Tony-winning role as the Emcee in Cabaret in 2014, Cumming played Eli Gold on the CBS hit drama The Good Wife from 2010–16, for which he was nominated for three Primetime Emmys. He hosted the Tony Awards alongside Kristin Chenoweth in 2015. He won his Tony for his performance in the 19968revival of Cabaret.
