After Louie, the feature film starring Tony winner Alan Cumming, will hit New York theatres and Video-on-Demand via Freestyle Digital Media March 30, according to Deadline.
The film by Vincent Gagliostro and Anthony Johnson tells the story of Sam, a New York artist and activist for ACT UP who lost loved ones with the beginnings of the HIV/AIDS crisis and now battles his own survivor’s guilt.
The cast also features Justin Vivian Bond, Sarita Choudhury, David Drake, Joseph Arias, Eric Berryman, Patrick Breen, and Wilson Cruz.
In addition to the upcoming movie, Cumming’s new television series Instinct is set to premiere March 18 on CBS. Cumming stars as Dr. Dylan Reinhart, an openly gay author and professor roped back into his former life—as a CIA operative—to help the NYPD capture a serial killer.

To complete the trifecta of appearances, Cumming will guest star on the upcoming season of BBC’s Dr. Who. According to Entertainment Weekly, Cumming takes on a “nice baddie.”
