Save the date for the Jellicle Ball. The upcoming film adaptation of Cats is slated to premiere December 20, 2019, according to Deadline.
As previously reported, Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper (Les Misérables, The King’s Speech) has tapped Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, James Corden, and Ian McKellen to star, bringing Andrew Lloyd Webber and T.S. Eliot's feline phenomenon to the screen. Production will begin in November.
The project hails from Universal's Working Title Films. Another highly-anticipated movie musical from Universal, the film adaptation of Wicked, had previously held the December 20 release date and has since been pushed back.
