The 63rd Street Music Hall opened in 1914. The theatre broke new ground when it presented Shuffle Along in May 1921. Featuring such hits as “I’m Just Wild About Harry” and “Bandanna Days” by Eubie Blake-Noble Sissle, the show marked a breakthrough in making black shows acceptable to white audiences. The 63rd Street Musical Hall, named Daly’s, was demolished in 1957.
