Position Summary
Sweet Hospitality Group and Scene Partners are seeking a Venture Lead to build, launch, and scale a new nationwide concessions venture from early pilot venues through a multi-market, national rollout. This role is equal parts founder-operator, general manager, and growth leader.
The Venture Lead will own day-to-day operations and execution while working closely with Scene Partners and Sweet Hospitality Group leadership on strategy, capital planning, brand, long-term growth, deliverables and operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated and organized, moves comfortably between strategy and execution, and is excited about the opportunity to build a category-defining company.
This position reports directly to the Scene Partners CEO and works in close collaboration with the executive leadership of Sweet Hospitality Group.
Responsibilities
Venture Leadership & Ownership
- Act as the primary operating leader for the new concessions company, with full accountability for performance, growth, and execution.
- Translate the company’s vision into a scalable, executable operating plan.
- Serve as the internal and external “face” of the venture with venue partners, vendors, and audiences.
Operations & Execution
- Design and oversee sale and delivery of concessions products and services for live theater venues, including:
- Client marketing and sales materials and interfaces
- Menu strategy and product mix
- Staffing models and training
- Speed-of-service and throughput optimization
- POS, inventory, and reporting systems
- Launch and manage pilot locations, then systematize learnings into repeatable playbooks.
- Ensure operational excellence across safety, compliance, quality, experience.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Oversee lead-generation, venue onboarding and relationship management with theaters across the country.
- Develop and manage partnerships with:
- Hospitality operators
- Food & beverage suppliers
- Alcohol brands and sponsors
- Technology vendors (POS, mobile ordering, etc.)
- Support deal structuring, contracts, and negotiations.
Growth & Scaling
- Build the roadmap for regional and national expansion.
- Identify new revenue streams, including premium offerings, branded products, sponsorships, and experiential activations.
- Hire, lead, and develop a growing team as the venture scales.
- Create operational systems that support scale without sacrificing quality or brand integrity.
Financial & Performance Management
- Own the venture P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Monitor unit economics and continuously optimize margins.
- Partner with finance and accounting resources to ensure clean reporting and disciplined financial management.
- Monitor phased venture goals and report status to the partners.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage, live entertainment, or multi-unit operations.
- Proven experience launching, scaling, or materially growing an operating business. Strong operational instincts with the ability to design systems that work in real-world, high-volume environments.
- Experience managing teams, vendors, and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Comfort operating in an early-stage environment with limited structure.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to interface with creatives, venue owners, and frontline staff alike.
Preferred
- Experience in live theater, live events, or high-throughput venues.
- Experience with concessions, bar programs, or multi-location F&B operations.
- Exposure to joint ventures, partnerships, or venture-backed environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems, mobile ordering, and inventory management platforms.
- New York–based or willing to be frequently present in NYC and to travel to key launch markets.

- Pilot venues launch smoothly and exceed revenue and guest-satisfaction benchmarks. New venture develops a reputation for quality, partner support, and hospitality excellence.
- A repeatable, scalable operating model is in place within the first 6–12 months.
- The venture is positioned for rapid expansion across major theater markets.
