This production operates on the IATSE Basic Independent Agreement

MINIMUM SALARY:

IATSE Basic minimum; $977.00/week

TheaterWorksUSA is seeking a qualified Head Electrician for its upcoming touring production of Dog Man The Musical. The production will travel around the United States performing at various theaters and concert venues. This position will require a skilled manager who can supervise varying and diverse local crews to ensure that all technical elements are executed safely and efficiently.

This position reports to the NY-Based TheaterWorksUSA Technical Director who is not travelling with the production; an ideal candidate will have strong self-accountability and should be comfortable operating independently.

A successful candidate will have the following:

· 5 years’ experience as a manager, head position, or supervisor in a theatrical capacity

· REQUIRED: Valid U.S. Driver’s License (any state), must not expire before June 8. 2025

· REQUIRED: Valid U.S. Passport, must not expire before June 8, 2025

· Comfortability with analyzing and understanding technical drawings and draftings

· Ability to program automated lighting fixtures using an ETC console

· Familiarity with theatrical lighting equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, etc.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task

· Ability to maintain poise and control under pressure

· Experience with running an automated lighting rig during performances

· Knowledge of theatrical fly and rigging systems

· Experience with safe loading practices of a box truck

· Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.

· Comfortability with ladders and motorized personnel lifts up-to 25’ above ground level

Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

· Oversee and lead lighting rig load-in and load-out at each venue

· Ensure compliance with TheaterWorksUSA safety policies and venue-specific policies

· Maintain lighting design integrity at each performance across multiple venues

· Work alongside the Production Stage Manager to advance the technical and production elements of the production prior to arrival

· Take and implement creative and technical notes during rehearsals and performances

· Participate in production and management meetings, both during pre-production and after opening

· Participate in driving in company-provided passenger vehicle to each tour stop

· Work with Stage Management team, Head Audio, and the main office to manage the touring company as a team and foster a cohesive community on the road

· Monitor labor usage and spending to ensure compliance with budget restrictions

· TheaterWorksUSA has a zero-tolerance policy for substance abuse while working; any employees displaying any signs of drinking, intoxication, or other substance abuse during work hours will be terminated immediately
