JOB TITLE: Theatre Manager, The Ambassador Theatre, home of CHICAGO

SALARY: ATPAM rates and benefits. Current Weekly Performance Rate: $3,095.67

SCHEDULED HOURS: Variable schedule coinciding with CHICAGO’s performance schedule, up to six (6) days per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

JOB SUMMARY: Our Theatre Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the venue, and all aspects of house management, operations, show relations, payroll and settlements, labor relations, and guest services. Working closely with Theatre Operations, Facilities, and the Ambassador Theatre’s department heads, this role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all aspects of the theatre’s operations for the production of CHICAGO and our patrons. Including but not limited to:

· Monitoring the theatre’s maintenance and systems functionality.

· Overseeing the front-of-house operations during performances.

· Serving as the liaison between the Company Manager, the production staff, and the theater owners.

· Supervising and preparing payroll for the theater staff.

· Enforcing and maintaining safety standards in all operations of the theatre.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

· Demonstrated success in managing an operation

· Demonstrated success in managing diverse teams

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through

· Effective communicator who can clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing

· Versed in health and safety standards.

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Current ATPAM membership

· OSHA 10 certification

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

· Labor management skills

· House management skills

· Hands-on person who is not afraid to get hands dirty when necessary

· Motivated to find solutions to problems approaches every problem with a positive attitude

· A team-player who can take direction and initiative

· Flexibility and comfortable with scenarios that may change rapidly

· A great communicator and collaborator

· Interest and enthusiasm about improving processes and products
