With an annual operating budget of $19,000,000, TDF fulfills its mission through two key areas of work: affordable tickets fulfilled by its iconic TKTS Discount Ticket Booths and Membership program, and its kaleidoscope of programs enabling more than 60,000 audience members annually to see shows. These programs support audience members impacted by hearing loss and deafness, vision loss and blindness, mobility loss, or by intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as veterans, students, seniors, and over 150 community partners.
About the Position
TDF is seeking a Theatre Accessibility Programs Manager to enhance internal systems and oversee our range of accessibility initiatives. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional who can manage program operations, maintain clear communication with patrons and staff, and ensure our accessibility services run smoothly. Ideal candidates will have experience implementing new technologies, collaborating with partners, working within theatre ticketing systems, and coordinating across multiple departments, along with a strong background in accessibility and inclusive theatre practices.
What you’ll do:
• Assist the Director of Programs with show selection and booking service providers for open-captioned (OC), audio-described (AD), ASL-interpreted, and other accessibility programs.
• Grow the lists we offer services to in partnership with the marketing team.
• Advocate for these services in the industry and represent TDF as a leader in this field.
• Represent TDF in accessibility spaces and at conferences.
• Collaborate with the Partnerships team to book accessibility services.
• Coordinate show-build timelines and email blast schedules with Ticketing and Marketing.
• Review website listings for accuracy throughout all stages, including initial build, final offer preparation, and specialty seating assignments in collaboration with the Ticketing team.
• Maintain and update master spreadsheets for programs.
• Collaborate and support the programs team.
• Oversee Theatre Accessibility listings and sales, ensuring strong communication and alignment across the Programs, Partnerships, and Marketing teams.
• Monitor ticket inventory and performance supply, identifying low-sales areas and opportunities to adjust allocations.
• Coordinate with the Customer Service team to resolve accessibility ticketing issues.
• Assign and manage coverage and on-site support for accessibility performances.
• Attend production meetings for accessibility performances as needed.
• Close shows, produce manifests for accessibility and community performances, and communicate with box offices.
• Work with the Development team on fundraising and special event needs.
• Work with the marketing team to grow constituent lists.
• Work with the VP of Programs and the Director of Programs to scale, sustain, and advocate for accessibility programs.
• Stay up to date on relevant developments and technologies in the field.
• Administer and manage seasonal TAP+ granting program.
• Work in collaboration with the education team on Theatre Access Programs for students.

• You have experience and expertise in accessibility services.
• You have 3+ years of experience in a performing arts organization; familiarity with Salesforce, Tessitura, and/or multiple ticketing platforms is a plus.
• You have experience navigating change management and are energized by improving processes.
• You enjoy problem-solving and collaborating with a team.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You are comfortable supervising staff and providing constructive feedback.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent role, and the salary range is $65K-$75K. In addition, TDF offers excellent benefits including:

TDF is a hybrid-onsite organization, and staff are encouraged to be in-office 3 days a week, with occasional night and weekends. Field work in theatre spaces is an expected part of this position.
