SEEKING
Equity actors for roles in THE IRISH AND HOW THEY GOT THAT WAY.
This will be a diverse production and actors from underserved communities are encouraged to attend. Connecticut and Westchester talent a plus.
IRISH is a celebration of Irish culture in a musical revue-ish structure. Singers/actors who can play one of the following instruments - piano, guitar, mandolin, accordion, or various percussion instruments (not drums); and also move well are encouraged to audition. Tap or Irish dance a plus but not required.
SEEKING:
Woman 1 - Ingenue or leading lady, 20s/30s, soprano/belt
Woman 2 - feisty character woman, 20s/30s, alto/belt
Man 1 - sprightly character comedian, 20s/30s, bari-tenor
Man 2 - Leading man, 20s/30s, baritone
Man 3 - Irish "Danny Boy" tenor, 20s/30s, strong but vulnerable
PREPARATION
Please prepare a traditional folk-ish song or choose one song posted on the MTC website at www.musictheatreofct.com/auditions . Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

Music Theatre of Connecticut continues its 39th season with the musical celebration THE IRISH AND HOW THEY GOT THAT WAY. MTC is located in a beautiful theatre center in Norwalk, CT, and the company has won numerous "Best" awards both BroadwayWorld and Connecticut Critics' Circle Awards, including the prestigious Killen Award for Outstanding Contribution to Professional Theatre, joining Long Wharf, Hartford Stage and the Westport Playhouse.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.
