PREPARATION

Choose a song you feel shows you as a person as well as a performer, showing vocal and emotional range in the style of Maltby and Shire. Please bring sheet music and a stapled together headshot and resume.

SEEKING:

[F2]: 50s-60s; Female Presenting; Alto/Mezzo-Soprano with a belt. Dramatic storytelling and comedic featured material. Comfortable holding harmony parts in group vocals. Strong musical theatre voice, plus a soprano. With warmth and a sense of comedy.

[F3]: 50s-60s; Female Presenting; Alto with extended upper range. Role calls for ensemble and solo singing. Equal amount of dramatic storytelling and comedic featured material. Comfort with “patter” style songs beneficial. Strong musical theatre voice and comedy. This part can go several different ways, but a down-to-earth energy and warmth, with touching comedy will be a factor. Very strong top notes.

[MALE-PRESENTING SWING]: 50s-60s; Male-Presenting to cover 3 roles; Tenor. Dramatic storytelling with a comic bend in featured material. Ability to perform with standard British or Cockney accent a plus. Very versatile, with strong voice, a good sense of comedy, and excellent sense of words/use of text and language.

[FEMALE-PRESENTING SWING]: 50s-60s; Female-Presenting to cover 3 roles; multitalented, very versatile, with a strong voice, high soprano notes and belt, good sense of comedy, and excellent sense of words/use of text and language.


THE FOLLOWING ROLES ARE ON OFFER:

[M1]: Male-Presenting; 50s-70s. Tenor. Dramatic storytelling with a comic bent in featured material. Ability to perform with standard British or Cockney accent a plus. Role calls for ensemble and solo singing. THIS ROLE IS ON OFFER.

[M2]: Male-Presenting; 50s-60s. Tenor 2, with higher notes available. Equal amounts dramatic storytelling and comedy. Must be comfortable with learning and holding harmony parts in group vocals. THIS ROLE IS ON OFFER.

[M3]: Male-Presenting; 50s-60s. Baritone. Several comic turns, with dramatic moments – a wide range of material. Role calls for ensemble and solo singing. THIS ROLE IS ON OFFER.

[F1]: Female-Presenting; 50s-60s. Warm Soprano with strong upper range. Should have comfortable Bb5’s. Role calls for ensemble and solo singing. A wide range of material – mostly dramatic storytelling, with some comedy. THIS ROLE IS ON OFFER.
