SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in THE APPROACH.

SYNOPSIS: Three women. They meet in pairs. Three conversations. As the details of what they share begin to diverge, we realize that a subtle game of survival is being played. Mark O'Rowe's The Approach explores the inner lives of the sisters Anna and Denise and their friend Cory as they desperately try to make sense of their world.

SEEKING:

Anna: 40s, Irish. Smart, brittle, pragmatic. Can be guarded and cynical. Does not suffer fools gladly. Loyal to the core and holds loyalty as the most important trait.

Cora: 40s, Irish. A good friend. Thoughtful; Sentimental. Wishing to please and make things better but can be passive aggressive in her efforts.

Denise: 40s, Irish. Sister to Anna. A charismatic, larger than life figure. Can be volatile when she feels aggrieved by past family history. Like her sister, Anna, she can be stubborn and can express herself plainly.

All Equity stage managerial positions have been filled.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short contemporary monologue. All roles require authentic Irish accents.
