The Stop Shopping Choir is actively seeking singers in all sections
We are a 35-voice diverse, intergenerational community choir and sing original music in a wide range of styles. Our practice is grounded in weekly rehearsal, regular performances in a range of venues, and creative actions in public space.
We are a radical performance community, recipients of multiple awards (Obie, Edwin Booth, Alpert, and American Religion & The Arts) and have performed and toured all over the world. We rehearse on Sunday evenings from 4-7pm. Some touring, some pay. This is primarily a volunteer choir. No dues.
We are seeking singers in all sections; background in gospel, circle song, and improvisation appreciated.

Come to rehearsal and see if it’s a good fit, if you would like to sing for us you are welcome but we do not require a formal audition piece.
