Secret Room, a hidden cabaret right in the heart of Midtown is now re-branding and re-opening as a new Speakeasy with nightly entertainment. We are excited to be hosting one-of-a-kind, ticketed Theatrical Original Shows, Broadway Sing-Alongs, intimate Jazz Nights, Original Local Music, Dramatic Readings, Burlesque Extravaganzas and more. We are putting our team together now, and are looking for creative individuals who want to get in on the ground floor of the next big performance space as we expand this year.

NOW HIRING:

ASSISTANT PRODUCER/ STAGE MANAGER

Looking for that driven and creative individual who isn’t afraid to take chances, make big moves and create magic with us! Work alongside the Lead Producer for the new venue as we gear up for opening night.

Requirements: Previous experience as a theatrical producer, creative writer, director, stage manager, or other similar role. Ability to work late nights (some nights estimated 11 pm to 12 am close.) You know how to put out fires, turn water into wine, and make anything happen on a moment's notice. Good with people, as you will be working with bands, actors, singers, tech and FOH/BOH. Assistant Producer will be in charge of Social Media posts and management through-out the week, any previous experience is a plus.

* Must be available afternoons, evenings and Fri & Sat nights.

* Min 5 Nights a Week

Pay: $175/ show night with ability for raise within 6 months

SOUND/ LIGHTING/ AV ENGINEERS

Hiring an in-house Sound Engineer responsible for all set up and break-downs, balancing and operating audio equipment & basic lighting board. Candidates should have a working knowledge of professional audio equipment & lighting boards. Prior experience running sound for theater and/or concerts and mixing live musicals/concerts is strongly preferred.

Experience with video/projections is also a plus.

* Must be available afternoons, evenings and Fri & Sat nights.

* Min 5 Nights a Week

Pay: Depending on Experience between $150 - $250/ show

SCENIC CARPENTER

The new speakeasy and theater space is looking for a strong finish carpenter, skilled in design and scenic carpentry framing and build skills. We are on a deadline and you must have the ability to work effectively and efficiently in the time frame requested.

The most important design and build will be stage walls to house an electric sliding curtain. Additionally there will be creative design work + dressing room build out. Ability to pick up and deliver wood and materials is required.

* Work on your own schedule

Pay: $20-$30/ hour depending on experience

EVENT SALES MANAGER

Secret Room is looking for an event sales manager with experience in booking and operating events, both corporate and entertainment based. You will work closely with the Director of Operations and Lead Sales Manager to ensure amazing service and experiences at Secret Room for Private Corporate Events and Private Dinner Shows.

Duties include maintaining overall responsibility for all sales and point of sale material/paper collateral, emails, phone calls, PDFs, website section and sales content for social media. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with venue staff, working closely with the GM, FOH and BOH, maintaining food and service quality, all while ensuring guest satisfaction at each event.

* Previous experience in Event Sales & Operations required- 2+ years.

* Must be available for an afternoon work schedule & work events as booked on any given night of the week.

Pay: $2,500/month Base + Commission
