The Fortnight Project is a theater collective which creates feminist spaces and theater works that foster sisterhood and empower performing artists.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to organizations that support women's healthcare, reproductive care, and safe access to abortions like lilithfund.org among others.
SEEKING:
Singers (She/her identifying) of various styles (musical theater, pop, R&B, rap, country, etc.) who are comfortable with harmonies and open to musical collaboration.
Variety acts (She/her identifying) such as but not limited to: puppetry, magic, clown, burlesque, ventriloquism, and drag.
Comedian co-host (she/her identifying). Should have experience in sketch comedy, improv, and/or stand-up. Will lead the audience through the show as per Oscar/Tonys with introductions and bits.
Seeking a diverse cast of performers who are willing to collaborate!
Rehearsal information: We'll have a cast meeting on January 19th to discuss the show and scheduling. After that, we’ll rehearse with everyone twice (give and take as per needs of each act) in the two weeks before the show.
SUBMISSIONS: Please email a headshot, resume, and a brief video (1 – 2 min) of you singing in a style that showcases your talents, or of your variety/comedy act to [email protected]. We are accepting submissions until January 4th, 2025.
