Thirty artists face off theatre’s worst cliches in Amoeba Productions’ Best Worst Ten Minute Play Festival!Amoeba Productions is a nonprofit performing arts organization based in NYC, launching its first 10 Minute Play Festival! We are seeking actors, playwrights, and directors to collaborate with other emerging artists and create original short plays from scratch. On Activation Day, artists will be paired with their teams and begin the development of their new play. Playwrights will have two weeks to write their 10-minute plays. Then the team will have three weeks to rehearse a minimum of five hours. The festival will culminate in a live performance on April 4th at Caveat in NYC.
COMMITEMENT
Activation Day - February 19th, 7pm - 10pm
Minimum of five hours of rehearsal between February 19 and April 4
Performance - April 4th, 4pm - 7pm
COMPENSATION
Each team will receive a $100 budget to be used toward rehearsal space and/or props.
