Event Description:

Vanguard Theater is seeking Directors for our upcoming Illuminating New Voices Festival. The Illuminating New Voices Festival celebrates emerging playwrights and highlights a selection of new plays and musicals for the stage. We are especially interested in directors who are passionate about new works and who are collaborative team members.

We strongly encourage women directors to apply.

Festival:

• Each piece will be presented as a fully staged 20-minute excerpt.

Rehearsal window is from April 12th-April 30th with:

• 10 hrs of rehearsal time allotted for plays

• 15 hrs of rehearsal time for allotted for musicals

Tech Hours TBD but will not exceed 2 hours of tech.

Performance dates:

• May 2nd-3rd and May 8th-9th.

Pay: $500 stipend

If asked to direct multiple pieces in the festival, pay will be negotiated.
