CONTRACT

AEA
Bay Area Theatre (BAT) Tier 5 (mainstage) and Tier 3 (second theatre)
$906 weekly salary minimum, 39-hour workweek (Tier 5)
$651 weekly salary minimum, 31-hour workweek (Tier 3)

Non-AEA
$19.18 per hour
For mainstage and second theatre productions, non-AEA actors will receive a guaranteed weekly minimum.

No housing or transport available for non-AEA actors.

PREPARATION

Slots will be 3 minutes.

For all plays, please prepare 1 contemporary monologue. You may bring a second monologue if you do not wish to be considered for a musical.

For all musicals, please prepare up to 60 seconds of a song in the style of the show. Selections from the shows themselves are strongly encouraged. You may bring a second song if you do not wish to be considered for a play. A monologue is not required.

An accompanist will be available. Please bring sheet music clearly marked, in the correct key.

Rehearsals will take place at the SF Playhouse Studio (323 Geary St., San Francisco, CA 94102). Tech, previews and performances will be on the San Francisco Playhouse mainstage or the Creativity Theatre. San Francisco Playhouse mainstage productions rehearse 6-days per week, typically Tuesday-Sunday. Rehearsal times vary, but are often in the 2:00-10:30 PM range on weekdays and 11:00 AM-7:30 PM on weekends. Mainstage productions are 8 shows per week, Tuesday-Sunday, with matinee performances on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Second Theatre productions are 6 shows per week.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.
