Each episode focuses on a different “soft skill” (like conflict resolution, tolerance, or vulnerability) as Delilah tries (and fails) to navigate her relationships, her career, and herself.
Set in a shared apartment building, the show focuses on awkward conversations, almost-confessions and connections that don’t fully make sense. It’s messy, honest, and character-driven. "Soft Serve" is about growth, connection, and the complicated question of whether loving someone is always a good idea.
ROLES
Grace - $450 Flat Rate
Woman, Black, Mid 20's
Lives with her best friend Delilah and works a steady job that allows her to maintain her hair, nails, etc. She’s expressive, emotionally open, and wears her heart on her sleeve. If she feels it, you’ll know. Grace believes in love, but not naively. She wants stability, connection, and something real—and she’s actively moving toward that, even when it’s uncomfortable. Grace understands Delilah and pushes Delilah out of her comfort zone. She and Delilah create a safe space for each other.
If Grace were an ice cream cup, she’d be strawberry, vanilla, and a little bit of birthday cake.
This role does require partial nudity: The actress should be comfortable in a shirt and underwear with no pants, or a bra and sweatpants. No intimate scenes. An intimacy coordinator will be on site.
Aaron - $450 Flat Rate

A high school English teacher who lives with his best friend, Jaiden, in the same apartment building as his ex friend-with-benefits, Delilah. He’s grounded, a little stubborn, and he finds joy in getting under Delilah's skin.
He’s thoughtful and steady on the surface, but when it comes to his absent father and his own emotional life, he tends to avoid instead of confront. Over the course of the show, Aaron is pushed to grow up, emotionally, relationally, and as a man. If he were an ice cream cup, he'd be one scoop brownie, one scoop caramel, and one scoop coffee.

He’s a natural lover boy, effortlessly charming, and very comfortable in who he is. Jaiden knows what he wants, and he knows how to move toward it. He’s thoughtful, observant, and often finds himself mediating situations he didn’t create.
If he were an ice cream cup, he’d be cookies and cream, all day. He also loves to rap. Whether or not he’s good at it…that’s up to you.
AJ - $250 Flat Rate
Woman, Black Early - Mid 30's
Works in Aaron Sr.'s record store. AJ is confident, ethereal, and she loves to read. She doesn't need to force anything, she just is. She jokes easily and moves through life with a sense of earned wisdom.
This role does require partial nudity. The actress needs to be comfortable wearing an oversized shirt and underwear. No intimate scenes. An intimacy coordinator will be on site.

A retired Army Vet who owns a record store and has built a good life for himself. He’s reserved, steady, and not quick to open up. He struggles with connection and makes ill-timed jokes.
He has an avoidant relationship with his son, and struggles to reconcile it.
Luis (Lulu) - $200 Flat Rate
Man, Black or Hispanic, Mid 20's - Early 30's
Nickname is Lulu; he is Jaiden's ex. He was born and raised in New Orleans and moved to NYC in his 20's. He's expressive, fun, and a little blunt. Lulu brings a different energy into the room: one that’s open, unfiltered, and hard to ignore.
Miss Renee - $150 Flat Rate
Woman, Black, Late 40's - Mid 50's
Delilah’s mother. She is a warm, observant, and opinionated woman from Houston, TX. She's built out of kind but tough love. She walks into a room and immediately starts making herself at home, hugging people, asking questions, clocking dynamics, and accidentally stirring the pot.
Miss Renee can be funny, nosy, and a little out of pocket, but she means well. She loves her daughter deeply, even when she’s calling her out.
