Local Bay Area actors are encouraged to audition.

CONTRACT
AEA
Bay Area Theatre (BAT) Tier 5
$906 weekly salary minimum, 39-hour workweek (Tier 5)

Non-AEA
$19.18 per hour
Guaranteed weekly minimum during rehearsal period of $748. Minimum will adjust during performance period to reflect shift times, but no lower than $460.

No housing or transport available for non-AEA actors.


PREPARATION

Open Call:

Will be run the same as ECC. Performers will be held in 45-minute blocks from 1:00-4:00 PM. Vocal callbacks for dancers will be held from 4:00-4:30 PM. Please bring 60 seconds of a song from RENT in case you are asked to stay and sing.

Open Call for Singers will be held from 5:00-7:15 PM. Please bring 60 seconds of a song from RENT. Dance callbacks for Singers will be held from 7:15-8:00 PM. If asked to stay and dance, please bring clothes and shoes you can comfortably move in.
Lunch break will be 4:30-5:00 PM.

ECC:
ECC for Dancers will be held in 45-minute blocks from 1:00-4:00 PM. Vocal callbacks for dancers will be held from 4:00-4:30 PM. Please bring 60 seconds of a song from RENT in case you are asked to stay and sing.

ECC for Singers will be held from 5:00-7:15 PM. Please bring 60 seconds of a song from RENT. Dance callbacks for Singers will be held from 7:15-8:00 PM. If asked to stay and dance, please bring clothes and shoes you can comfortably move in.

EPA:

Slots will be 3 minutes. Please prepare up to 60 seconds of a song in the style of the show. Selections from the show are strongly encouraged! A monologue is not required. An accompanist will be available. Please bring sheet music clearly marked, in the correct key.

Rehearsals will take place at the SF Playhouse Studio (323 Geary St., San Francisco, CA 94102). Tech, previews and performances will be on the San Francisco Playhouse mainstage (450 Post St. San Francisco, CA 94102). San Francisco Playhouse mainstage productions rehearse 6-days per week, typically Tuesday-Sunday. Rehearsal times vary, but are often in the 2:00-10:30 PM range on weekdays and 11:00 AM-7:30 PM on weekends. Mainstage productions are 8 performances per week, Tuesday-Sunday, with 2:00 PM matinee performances on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.
