The Program Associate plays a critical role in the planning, coordination, and day-to-day management of Arts Ignite’s local programming, with a primary focus on international programs and global partnerships. Working closely with the Executive Director and Programs team, the Program Associate will oversee program logistics, support Teaching Artists and Program Facilitators, maintain partner relationships, and ensure programs are delivered with excellence, consistency, and care.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, mission-driven, and excited to work across cultures, time zones, and program models. The Program Associate will balance hands-on program management with administrative and collaborative responsibilities and will be a key contributor to Arts Ignite’s growing international portfolio.

Manage and support programs as assigned, including coordination with global partners and facilitators
Coordinate, hire, and support Teaching Artists throughout their placement
Create job postings, conduct interviews, and ensure programs are fully staffed
Provide feedback on Teaching Artist lesson plans in alignment with Arts Ignite Program Standards
Ensure program materials are ordered, organized, available for use at program sites, and returned to Arts Ignite
Serve as substitute Teaching Artist as needed
Conduct classroom observations (virtual and/or in-person as applicable)
Support Metrics and Evaluation efforts, including survey creation, administration, data collection, and data entry
Serve as liaison to partner organizations regarding proposals, schedules, planning meetings, check-ins, background checks, and program logistics
Track program expenses and income in coordination with the Finance team
Coordinate and approve Teaching Artist payments and reimbursements in accordance with the Teaching Artist Payment Schedule
Ensure program documentation and reporting requirements are met
Other duties as assigned
Maintain a lesson plan database
Support the Arts Ignite Teaching Artist application process, including inquiries, interviews, onboarding, and data management
Assist with monthly Teaching Artist blasts and internal communications
Support social media and communications efforts as needed
Collect program photos, videos, and digital content from staff, Teaching Artists, and partners for marketing and communications use
Design and maintain a materials and supplies inventory
Provide general clerical and administrative support for programs
Support departmental spreadsheets, tracking documents, and shared drives
Support and collaborate with Programs interns
Assist with departmental budget oversight
Attend all staff and department meetings
Support partner meetings and presentations as needed
Other duties as assigned
Assist with grant proposals, presentations, and reports as needed
Provide program materials and documentation to support Development efforts
Assist at special events as needed
Passion for arts education and working with youth ages 1–21
Strong cultural competence and sensitivity when working with diverse communities
Experience or interest in international programs and global partnerships
Understanding of arts management, including program planning, budgeting, and reporting
Familiarity with arts education pedagogy and the Arts Ignite Program Standards
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
