DESCRIPTION

Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC), a professional theatre operating under a LORT B agreement with Actors’ Equity at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, seeks an experienced, collaborative, and problem-solving Production Manager.

The Production Manager is a senior staff position that reports directly to the Artistic Director and Managing Director. The Production Manager oversees the production budget and is responsible for allocating resources, monitoring and approving expenses, finding creative ways to cut costs and timelines, negotiating employment contracts with new technical staff and contractors, and monitoring all production elements while maintaining high standards for all productions. The position facilitates the overall production process, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Scenery, Props, Electrics, Costumes, Wigs/Hair, Sound, and Projection Departments.

PTC generally produces a seven-show season, an “Encores” style concert, and a new play reading series, utilizing the Lees Mainstage 932-seat proscenium theatre and a new 380-seat thrust theatre. The Production Manager will work closely with the Artistic Director on season planning and scheduling and holds significant decision-making responsibilities for design approvals.

SALARY

$70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
