Transcendence Theatre Company is looking for a powerfully present, wonderful organized, technically familiar 2026 Seasonal Production Manager to help lead the team to victory! Local to the NORTH BAY AREA is highly desired, our mainstage season includes "Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations", "Radio Recall", and "Mamma Mia!".

Description: Reports to the Artistic Director, collaborates with Operations and Company Director(s). Supervises and supports the Technical Director and all production departments: Stage Management, Lighting, Sound, and Scenic, Costume, and Properties for Summer season productions and events.

Dates: TBD April-September

Location: Sonoma, CA (North Bay Area- Local applicants desired)

- Work with the Company and Operations Directors to create and detail the Company’s Production/Events calendar.
- Work with the Company Director to schedule and communicate Production Meetings. Take all Production Meeting notes. Distribute and archive all Production Meeting notes in a timely manner.
- Communicate with all production-related vendors and contractors on production needs and schedules.
- Work with the Production Teams, Technical Director and Creative Teams, specifically the Production Designers, to coordinate the season rentals of: Lighting, Staging/Scenery, Sound, Generator, Golf Carts - consult w/ Operations Director
- Collaborate with the Company Director in hiring. Adjust existing job descriptions as needed to communicate the needs of the season. Post jobs online to seek appropriate candidates for roles. Compile and review applicants resumes. Work with the Company Director to schedule interviews with the most compatible applicants.
- Along with the Business Team and Executive Director, track budgets for production. Communicate with all production hires about budgets they may be responsible for. Complete any open Expensify/Ramp reports weekly on Fridays.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager in using a project tracker to help guide the organization of production and events materials that need to be repaired, serviced, purchased, inventoried, etc before the summer season.
- Work with the Technical Director to assist with guiding the proper organization and coordination of the restoration of lighting, audio, costumes, props, and scenic elements after a production closes.
- Collaborate with the Company and Operations Director in the scheduling of all hourly seasonal employees to ensure cross-checking of hours and proper payroll and budget management.
- Coordinate and plan site visits for production-related events, along with Operations Director
- Determine if any additional trucks are required for load ins and outs. Collaborate with the Company Director to reserve them in advance. Should additional trucks be needed, coordinate with the Technical Director and Operations Director to get those vehicles picked up.
- Work with the Technical Director, Operations Director, and other Transcendence staff to create pull lists for all production-related events.
- Work with the Technical Director, Operations Director, and Company Director to lead any and all safety orientations.
- Work with the Technical Director to coordinate execution of technical elements and requests during production.
- Load Ins/Load Out, Work with the Company Director, Operations Director, Technical Director, and Stage Management to create a schedule for all Load Ins, Load Outs, Rehearsals, and Events. Supervise the loading of trucks for production-related events. Coordinate the purchase and set up of hospitality like Ice, Water, Liquid IV with the Company Director. Ensure availability of coolers and tables for hospitality. Announce and track breaks for the crews working. Keep track of clocking in/out of hourly employees. Supervise and assist in the set up and installation of all production-related items.
- Rehearsal/Production, Coordinate with the Technical Director, Company Director, and Stage Management for all rehearsal needs. Coordinate with the music team for band rehearsal and sitz/vandal probe needs. Assist with the set up of band rehearsal, and sitz/vandal probe. Attend Designer Run.
- Additional related duties as discussed with the Artistic Director.

SALARY

$1,325.00 – $1,425.00 per week
