Powerhouse Theater will be holding auditions by appointment for the 2026 Powerhouse Theater Training Program in New York City on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Please include your first and last name as well as “NYC Auditions” in the subject line of your submission. Those interested in the playwriting or directing program are also welcome to submit for a brief interview appointment. (Please note: this posting is only for the training program. About the Powerhouse Theater Training Program

The Training Program (June 18-July 26, 2026) offers students a unique opportunity to dive headfirst into a conservatory-like intensive on the Vassar College campus. Actors, directors, and writers hone their respective crafts through both class work and practical experiences. By engaging with professional theater companies and artists who are in residence each summer, students deepen their understanding of the art and the industry. A summer at Powerhouse exposes students to new theater making possibilities through a process of self-discovery.

Disciplines available in acting, directing and playwriting.

The five week program includes:

- Conservatory style classes with leading professionals

- Training program productions - both classic and contemporary works

- Full access to professional season

- Master classes with well-known theater artists

- Room and board (private room and 3 meals per day)
