PART-TIME SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT (AGENCY ACCOUNTS)


The Pekoe Group is an award-winning, fast paced, full service advertising agency in NYC, working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.


We are seeking a part-time Social Media Assistant to support the agency’s own social presence and the social media needs of adjacent non-show brands. This role does not involve managing individual Broadway, Off-Broadway, or touring show accounts.



This position supports the visibility, voice, and digital personality of our company and related business ventures, with a focus on executing content, maintaining consistency across platforms, and contributing to brand-forward social storytelling that reflects our expertise in the Broadway and live entertainment space.



RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



- Handling day-to-day management of the agency’s social media accounts


- Supporting social media for adjacent non-show brands


- Creating, scheduling, and publishing content aligned with brand voice and business goals for the agency and adjacent non-show brands


- Brainstorming and developing content ideas including graphics, captions, short-form video, and story formats


- Monitoring engagement, comments, and messages across the assigned social platforms


- Flagging relevant conversations or opportunities to the executive team


- Staying current on social media trends, particularly within theatre, live entertainment, and arts marketing



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



- Strong interest in theatre, live entertainment, or arts marketing


- Excellent written & verbal communication skills with a clear, professional, and adaptable tone


- Familiarity with major social platforms and scheduling tools


- Basic design and video skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.)


- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently


- Prior social media, marketing, or internship experience preferred



SCHEDULE: 20-25 hours per week



COMPENSATION: $20/hour
