South Florida Symphony
Fort Lauderdale, FL

Description: Maestra Sebrina Alfonso leads the South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) in a semi-staged concert version of Leonard Bernstein's satirical masterpiece Candide. SFSO’s premiere of Candide follows in the manner of the New York Philharmonic's acclaimed 2004 Lonny Price production, made popular through the PBS series "Great Performances.” This version of Bernstein's Candide is played out with the orchestra, a dynamic cast of actor-vocalists, minimal sets and costumes, and a chorus all performing together on stage.
The SFSO is seeking qualified professional singers / actors for the Narrator, Candide, Captain, the Governor, Vanderdendar, Rogotski, and others. In addition, we need 30 chorus singers (with some speaking roles). We are looking for professional quality, experienced singers / actors with good English diction, and acting skills.
Please complete the form below if you are interested in auditioning for a singing / chorus role in Bernstein's 'Candide' scheduled for January 2025 with performances in Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, and Key West.
