Synopsis: A former rock-and-roll wild child, haunted by the suicide of a Seattle rock legend, struggles with the rebellion of her own iPod-obsessed teenage daughter. When rumors of the rock star's final, lost song bring a charming young man with questionable motives into the picture, an intriguing mystery begins to unfold.

Seeking:

Sarah (Female/Mid 30’s) - At once alert and tired. That she’s largely given up on fashion and appearance in no way diminishes her considerable good looks. We can sense more than see that she was once beautiful. Measured, even wary, in her physicality, as though protecting herself from desire’s destructive potential. Even so, her sexuality suffuses the most casual of gestures — she’s hot despite herself.

Jamie (Female/Late Teens to Early 20’s) - Not pretty, although there is an innocence about her features that softens her some. But it must be said again: She is not pretty, and her mother knows this, as clearly as Jaime knows that her mother is good-looking. Overweight, moves awkwardly, as if unaware she has a body, her sexual yearning unintegrated with her physical being. Dresses in baggy clothes, doesn’t wear makeup, has a pierced nose, etc.

Note: We will only consider actors over 18 for this role.

Carrick (Male/Late 20’s to Early 30’s) - Lithe and winsome; works his charm a little too strenuously at times. A sense of inferiority hovers about him, but only a sensitive observer would note this. Has really nailed self presentation — his clothes reveal his exquisite physique, and in a certain light he is shatteringly beautiful. Still, something is missing.

Phil (Male/Late 30’s) - in shape. Confident, somewhat high-strung, but undercuts his mania with humor and genuine feeling. Gets his clothes at the same places he shops for his teenage son.
