DESCRIPTION
Big League Productions, the veteran producing and general management company, is seeking a full-time/seasonal Office Assistant / General Management Assistant to work onsite in its NYC production office.
The position will report to the company’s General Manager and will be responsible for assisting in both clerical and production work as it relates to our upcoming touring productions: THE CHER SHOW (second national) and ADDAMS FAMILY (first non-eq national). This position is full-time for the months of October through January.
Job Duties:
- Assisting in multiple productions from prep to rehearsal to tech through opening
- Clerical office work and supply inventory and management
- Creation of playbill/programs via InDesign
- Assisting GM and CM in various tasks
- Providing office support to all company members
- Liaising with facility management vendors
- Managing office supply inventory, placing orders when necessary
- Assisting in worker’s comp insurance claims
- Assisting in processing venue settlements
- Managing the payment of union benefits
- Distributing and reconciling petty cash
- Reconciling monthly credit card expenses
- Processing annual 1099’s
- Working with third party accounting firm for year-end tax filing
- Other duties as assigned
Qualications:
· Interest in theater and/or theatrical management
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
