DESCRIPTION

Gothic rock band looking for dancers/movers for roles in music video. At this time, venue and shoot date are TBD but we are planning to have a shoot date this coming March. Selected performers will be provided more information about shoot date when venue is secured. All performers must provide their own costume (see breakdown for info).

Paid: $150 stipend, credit in video

Searching for performers who can create movemnent pieces which communicate emotion and story, and can improvise well.

Roles to cast:

-SOLDIER: (White, Male-presenting) A soldier deeply scarred by the horrors of war. A husk without empathy, but yearns for tenderness from others. Does not understand how to express love except through violence. Costume: Black Pants, White shirt, Black Shoes, Black Socks,and Gas-Mask (the mask will be provided on set).

-WIFE: (Any ethnicity, Female-presenting) A loving wife to the soldier. Cares for him deeply despite his aloofness. However, she is horrified in his turn to violence, and deeply frightened of the monster he has become. Costume: White Midi Cocktail/Slip Dress.

-LOVER: (BIPOC, Male-presenting) A secret lover of the soldier. While affectionate, he does not want to become the new target of the soldier's violence, keeping as much emotional and physical space between them. Costume: Black Pants, White Shirt

For your audition, please record a tape of your own choreographed piece to the music attached to the submission form below (ONLY RECORD THE CUT from 0:39- 1:25). You may also submit a movement/dance reel, but that is not required. ONLY SUBMIT YOUR TAPE AS A YOUTUBE LINK ON THE FORM.
