DESCRIPTION

Casting 15 roles in "Next Act," a musical theatre intensive (high school) at Art House Astoria which offers an opportunity for high school students to work with Broadway professionals, including Kevin Smith ("Kinky Boots"), musician and composer, Jessy Tomsko, and Rob Rokicki, composer of "The Lightning Thief."

Rehearses Tuesdays (7:30-9:30 p.m.), Fridays (4-6 p.m.), and Saturdays (1-3 p.m.) at Art House Astoria; runs Feb. 7-9 in Astoria, Queens. Note: Full company will not always be called for all rehearsals.

For auditions, prepare 32 bars of a comedic pop or rock musical theater song, a 1-minute monologue of the student's choosing. All students must be registered in order to audition. Will take the first 15 registrations. Everyone who is registered will be cast. Callbacks Dec. 17 (1-3 p.m.).
