DESCRIPTION

To save their beloved Littletown from destruction, a local plumber and his

strongminded wife hilariously traverse the absurd and crooked world of

political campaigns, only to find they must then battle the ineptitude and

corruption of the Uniparty that controls Capitol City.

Characters we are seeking to cast

(Performers of any age, gender, ethnicity, race, sexuality, and/or disability may be cast. Most performers will play multiple roles.)

JOE PLUMBER (“JOE”): The male lead. The Protagonist. A man about 35 to 40 years old. A plumber. Regular guy.

JANE PLUMBER (“JANE”): The female lead: About 30 years old. Rockette/showgirl figure.

SEN. LOUISE VON HERMGLINGINGNERFER (“LOUISE”): Glam girl. About 30 years old. Rockette/showgirl figure.

STAGE MANAGER: A person about 30 years old, hyperactive, with fake-ish British accent.

BUBBA: Stagehand. Man about 55 years old who has a great laugh.

FRANK: Stagehand. Man about 55 years old who has a great laugh.

INTERPRETER / CHAIRMAN: Man over 35 years old. Must be reasonably proficient in American Sign Language.

COUNCIL CHAIR: Adult of either sex and any age.

JACK THEASS (“JACK”): The Antagonist. Man about 55 years old.

GOD: Jolly old fat White man with white beard and big beer belly.

DICK JOHNSON (“JOHNSON”): Man about 75 years old.

LOLA PLUMBER (“LOLA”): Woman about 75 years old

TOM: Man about 50 years old.

PATTY / CAMP MAN / MENTOR / BILL: Short boy about 14 years old. Will play male and female characters of various ages. Best if played by identical twins, but a single kid will work.

INNUENDO: Adult man of any age.

This will be an unpaid non-union table read/workshop that will occur the week of Jan 25th. Exact dates to be decided once a cast has been assembled.
