About the Production: Now in its fourth year, The Juneteenth Experience is a multidisciplinary celebration of Juneteenth, commemorating the National holiday representing Black freedom and liberation. The performance features song, dance, spoken word and multimedia and is a genre-bending, ensemble-based performance, featuring soloists and group numbers that encompass a diverse range of musical styles.This year, the production expands to two new locations: The Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale and The Colony Theatre in Miami Beach.

Role Available: For immediate fill: Male, Tenor Vocalist (May 21st- June 19th 2024)

Style: Strong belter with influences of gospel, musical theater, and R&B. (Range: C3 - B5)

Production Details:

  • Rehearsals begin on May 21st, primarily held in the evenings and weekends.

  • Performance Dates: for June 14th (Parker Playhouse in Ft. Lauderdale, FL), June 18th & 19th (Colony Theatre, Miami Beach, FL)

Pay: $3,000 for rehearsals and performances

  • Add’l pay possible for community engagement performances.

  • Housing and travel are not available but, we can be a thought partner in helping to source.

Video submissions should showcase the candidate's vocal abilities and performance skills.This production is deeply collaborative, and selected candidates may be invited for a short virtual interview.
