THE TRAVELER (TOM – PRESENT)

Male-identifying, 30s-40s, Any ethnicity, Rock Tenor. A theoretical physicist worn from years of grieving, but has not processed his grief (…he will). Obsessive to a fault, a lost soul literally and figuratively. A bit neurotic, he is accidentally hurtled to the beginning of time by his time machine.

TOM (TOM – MEMORIES)

Male-identifying, 20s, Any ethnicity, Rock Tenor. The past-self of The Traveler, as seen in memories. A student of theoretical physics, daydreamer with a mind that’s never still… until Ori helps him find his center.

THE ANTICHRIST (KING SIMIUS; TOM – SPLINTERED FUTURE)

Male-identifying, 40s, Any ethnicity, Rock Tenor. Alternatively threatening and foppish, always ten steps ahead. Has not processed his grief and never will; he’s raising an army of dead while perfecting the science and manufacturing an entire apocalypse to control and consolidate resources in support of his goal.

THE BRIDE (ORIEL)

Female-identifying, 20s-30s, Any ethnicity, Mezzo-Belter. A plucky and present paleontologist, believes in living for the moment. Finds beauty in the balance of life and death. Marries Tom after a whirlwind of love at first sight and letters; loves him but struggles in marriage. Possibly double-tracked to The Boy.

THE CELESTIAL/ENSEMBLE

Female-identifying, Any Age, Any Ethnicity, Soprano or Contralto. An eternal being. Warm, curious, judicial. Always present, watching over the Traveler’s tale. To play Celestial and various ensemble. Strong puppeteering skills a plus but not required.

TBD FEATURED ENSEMBLE/KARL SCHWARZCHILD THE CAT

Female-Identifying, Any Age, Any Ethnicity, Soprano or Alto with Strong Characters. To play various creatures including Karl the Cat, Raptors, Pterodactyls - as well as Zombies/Human Ensemble. Featured soloist. Strong puppeteering skills a plus.

Any Gender, Any age to play preteen, Mezzo-Belter or Tenor. Any ethnicity. A boy who has become a leader in the rebel faction against King Simius. Scrappy and resourceful. The son Tom and Ori never had.
