For this event, we're seeking ASL Interpreters, Directors, Stage Managers, Writers (including playwrights, songwriters, and composers), Performers (including actors, singers, dancers, drag and burlesque artists, comedians, clowns, and performance artists), Musicians, Photographers, and more from our community. We encourage all trans man and transmasculine artists, including early career and emerging artists, to submit.
Submissions are welcome from both union and non-union artists.
For our show band, we are specifically seeking musicians with proficiency in the following instruments:
• Piano
• Guitar
• Bass
We are also seeking a Music Director and Arranger.
Musicians should feel comfortable reading sheet music and working on an abbreviated rehearsal timeline. Experienced cabaret musicians strongly encouraged to submit.
Multi-hyphenate artists may submit in multiple disciplines. Please submit only once if submitting in multiple disciplines; this submission form allows you to self-select into multiple disciplines and upload multiple files.
Team members receive a guaranteed stipend of $100 each. (e.g. $100 for Pianist, $200 for Pianist/MD, $300 for Pianist/MD/Arranger, etc.)
Note: While we are not necessarily seeking run crew or designers for this event, each artist who submits will be thoroughly considered, no matter their discipline. If our budget allows and we think it makes sense to bring you and your skill set on board, we will.
Performers/Musicians: In order to be considered, you MUST submit at least one video demonstrating your artistry. We are most interested in videos that you feel best represent you as an artist; video submissions can include self-tape material and do NOT need to include footage from past productions. Please limit each video submission to 5 minutes or less. Note: Performers need not be singers to submit. Drag artists need not self-tape in full drag. At this time, we ask that all performers be NYC-based, or be available as NYC local hires from (at the latest) June 1-June 20 for the rehearsal process and show.
Writers/Songwriters/Composers: In order to be considered, you MUST submit at least one completed song or written selection (monologue, scene, poem, etc.) you would like presented at this event. We are most interested in pieces that run no more than 5 minutes and utilize no more than 6 performers. Each writer may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. Note: Writers are encouraged to submit work they want to showcase, whatever the subject matter; writers are NOT required to submit work about transness. Writers are welcome to submit from anywhere and do not need to be based in NYC.
Submissions will close at 11:59pm ET on Saturday, April 11th, 2026. Submit now at tinyurl.com/LHIFTB26Submit.
