At The Table Read Co., we aim to support emerging theatre voices through intimate readings, feedback, and a collaborative space to grow your work from the page to the stage. We are a fresh company and our goal is to take your project (in whatever stage it is at) and give you a cast, space, and opportunity to hear it & possibly see it on its feet. We want to use our theatrical community to create opportunities for each other & uplift new writers together.

Our dream is to bring people together to create, boost, and appreciate new theatre.

Internship Overview

The Table Read Co. is seeking a creative, organized intern interested in gaining hands-on experience across media, nonprofit operations, and theatrical production. This internship offers exposure to the behind-the-scenes work that supports both creative projects and nonprofit initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Founder and Lead Producer in production and light administration.
  • Assist with content creation, writing, and social media alongside our Management Director.
  • Learn about and assist in fundraising efforts for nonprofit initiatives, including research and outreach from our Fundraising Coordinator.
  • Gain exposure to literary management through script coverage, table reads, and writer support through our Literary Manager.
  • Support the planning and production of live and virtual theatrical work.
  • Help with event logistics, artist communication, and production coordination.
  • This is a learning experience and we are not expecting someone to come in knowing all of these things already!!

Qualifications

  • Interest in theater, writing, nonprofit theatrical work or the entertainment industry. Related degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic graphic design and copy skills (Canva, ChatGPT).
  • Organized, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a space with actors, producers and playwrights.
  • Interest in fundraising, producing, literary management, or arts administration is a plus (not required).
