SALESPERSON for a small, local fitness/wellness company. Help us find clients for in-home Personal Training, 1-on-1 Yoga, Nutrition Coaching, and Massage Therapy.
You’ll be selling doctors on recommending exercise -- asking them to refer their patients to us for personal training. It’s similar to how a pharmaceutical sales rep pitches physicians on prescribing medications. But you’re selling fitness, not meds.
You will need a lot of presence and should come across as authoritative. As an actor, if you are frequently cast in “HIGH STATUS” roles such as attorneys, senators, CEOs, royals, etc., you may be a great fit for this job.
This is an IN PERSON job in NYC, NOT a job that can be done by Zoom alone.
Many of our clients are older and/or beginner exercisers. Must be comfortable interacting with senior citizens and people of all ages who are recovering from injury.
No previous sales, healthcare, or fitness industry experience necessary. We will train you. And no cold calling.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
--Pitching local doctors and physical therapists on referring their patients to us (going to their offices in person in NYC).
--Selling, and closing deals on, in-home Personal Training, Yoga, Nutrition Coaching, and Massage Therapy packages.
--Attending professional networking events to meet new potential clients and get referrals.
--Developing long-term business relationships with people you meet to keep the referral conversation going.
--Giving lectures (in person) for potential clients about fitness and wellness. We give you the slides and content; just bring your fabulous “on stage” personality!
This job includes taking classes and doing role plays about customer service, public speaking, and of course, sales. All classes are paid for, and you’ll be paid for learning time.

HOURS and COMPENSATION
15-20 hours/week, $20/hour + 5% commission.
VERY flexible hours, though there will be some scheduled meetings to attend.
