Signature Theatre, one of New York’s leading off-Broadway theatres, is seeking a Fellow for our production of Animal Wisdom, by our playwright resident, Heather Christian. The Animal Wisdom Fellow is a full-time, temporary member of Signature’s team. Working closely with Signature staff, the Animal Wisdom Fellow will provide administrative and logistical support. The fellow will work directly with Signature’s Production, General Management, Development, Marketing, Artistic, Finance, and Human Resources teams.

About Signature
Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home through playwriting residencies. In 2005, Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all of its productions. In 2012, Signature opened the Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a central, public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices.

Responsibilities
The Animal Wisdom Fellow will engage in structured rotations across various departments, ensuring a holistic understanding of theatre operations. The Fellow will be assigned department-specific mentors to guide their learning experience.

Weekly mentorship guidance with a department lead will enhance the fellows’ industry knowledge and career readiness.

STC’s fellow will be paired with an industry mentor - STC staff member.
Live Project Assignment
Fellows will work collaboratively on weekly reflections with hosting department heads. These weekly reflections will help guide the fellow on selecting tier final Fellow Project. The Fellow Project is scheduled to be presented at the end of the Fellowship to your STC lead and a member of the STC leadership team. The project will serve as a representation of the fellow's work plans and allow the fellow to showcase their learning experience.
