Seeking an experienced Seamstress/Tailor/Designer in costume shop to support a theatrical production company. Position entails a combination of creative costume design, construction, sewing, pattern making, alterations, and being part of our fast-paced creative process. Manage, assist and be part of residency production shows in Q4. Required to multi-task, collaborate, problem solve and be creative in a fast-paced, high-energy company.

Skills Required

• Proven experience as a seamstress/tailor
• Proficient in using all industrial sewing machines and sergers
• Knowledge and familiarity will all types of fabrics, especially spandex and stretch fabrics.
• Pattern making and cutting skills a must
• Good eye/talent for design preferred
• Knowledge of terminology a plus
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving
• Team player with great communication skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking ability
• Must have a valid driver’s license with own reliable transportation
• Must be local to South Florida or willing to self-relocate

SALARY

$15.00 – $20.00 per hour
