DESCRIPTION

RiseNY is looking for qualified security professionals for an exhibit located in Times Square. We seek to employ experienced, guest services-oriented, security officers to guard and patrol the exhibit and building. Weekend and evening availability is required. Once on board, security personnel deliver essential customer service, exercise knowledge in problem solving, observation, de-escalation, and resolution of incidents while using their exceptional service skills to secure guest, staff, and building safety.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Security Guard license (8 and 16 hour certification courses completed)

• All Security training must be up to date (8 hour annual)

• Available to work Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays; and some holidays

• F03 COF Fireguard License

• CPR Certified

• Minimum 2 Year of verifiable security experience in a guest relations environment (hotel, retail, exhibit, or museum security)

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and patrol building

• Must be able to maintain accurate hourly Security Log

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests and fellow exhibit personnel

• Patrol exhibit for unusual, dangerous, or illegal activity and unauthorized individuals

• Respond to Emergencies situations

• Maintaining exceptional communication, radio etiquette, hospitality, and interpersonal skills

• Complete security checks and follow post orders as directed by the Management

• Report necessary incidents and occurrences during each scheduled shift

• Keep an accurate Security log with hourly entries

• Complete security reports with a clear and concise account of the reported incident

• Access control of all contractors coming in to the property

• Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor
