Job Summary

Fast Lane Projects is seeking a reliable, resourceful part-time Personal Assistant with a domestic flair for a NY-based writer, critic, curator, activist, theatre-maker, and producer (and their Chief of Staff). This role is on-site in a office in Tribeca work/living situation. The PA will be responsible for completing tasks and errands as directed. The right person has some skills in homemaking, cooking, and/or home design, is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn. The role requires time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. The ideal candidate will have a good attitude, is able to work well with others, is organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review and perform various errand requests such as grocery shopping, picking up/dropping off packages and dry cleaning, arranging flowers, tidying up, “staging,” delivering documents, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure all errands and tasks are completed accurately and according to the instructions provided.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates on the status of errands.
  • Maintain kitchen, restock groceries, kitchen supplies, etc.
  • Help create a comfortable, homey atmosphere for employer.
  • Manage set-up for occasional in-person team meetings, including providing snacks, meals and office supplies. Help with clean up afterwards.
  • Handle cash or payment transactions associated with errands and maintain accurate records.
  • Occasionally assist the bookkeeper with light administrative tasks, including organizing financial records, scanning documents, and maintaining physical files.
  • Other light tasks as assigned.
