SYNOPSIS: A new version of the celebrated murder mystery that inspired Alfred Hitchcock’s movie masterpiece. Tony is convinced that his wife Margot has been cheating on him. Now it seems that the affair is over, but in his jealousy, Tony spins a web of suspicion and deception that will tighten around them and ensnare both in danger, recrimination, and murder.

All the characters have excellent diction and an adequate British or Early American (19th Century) accent.

SEEKING:
Margot Wendice – Female Identifying – Any Race – 30s-40s. The charming, naïve, and very wealthy wife of Tony, Margot has no idea that Tony knows of her past affair with Max, nor does she suspect that Tony is planning to murder her. She is motivated by fear and guilt prompted by societal standards of the time and maintains her friendship with Maxine despite its demise.

Maxine Hadley – Female Identifying – Any Race – 30s-40s. A writer of thrillers, Tony’s client who dated her briefly and former lover of Margot’s. She has a great combination of intelligence and curiosity that fuels her thoughts on murder mysteries. She’s witty, dry sense of humor, and excruciatingly honest. Despite the fact that Margot broke off the affair, she still loves Margot deeply and she is very present, truthful and protective of others.

Tony Wendice – Male Identifying – Any Race – 30s-40s. Margot’s husband, Tony is a former professional tennis player who married Margot for her money. He is extremely charming but deceptively selfish and arrogant. Highly intelligent, he has an elaborate scheme to murder Margot because of jealousy over a past affair between Margot and Maxine.

Lesgate – Male Identifying – Any Race – 30-40s. A con artist with multiple aliases. Seems to have a history of shady dealings since college. He has a past connection with Tony under a different name. He’s just handsome enough, educated and polished to lure wealthy, available women into a relationship. He has eluded getting caught and his ultimate drive is money. He has met his match or superior in strategic thinking with Tony.

Inspector Hubbard – Male Identifying – Any Race – 40s-50s. The lead detective. A trench-coat type. Intelligent, observant, and subtle with his suspects. He remains suspicious of the circumstances presented related to the crime, but he keeps his thoughts to himself. He is working-class but has acquired the skill of dealing with upper-class mentality. He is very good at what he does, it’s a vocation for him, not just a job. Seems to have a compassionate side as well under all that sleuthing but is understated in its display.

SYNOPSIS: When an unexpected blizzard forces UC Berkeley first-year student Mia to wait out the storm at a rural highway gas station and general store in Southern Colorado, she’s forced to confront a past that she is both fleeing and seeking out. As she shares family memories with store owner Moises to pass the time, another world creeps in — one of shadows, forgotten prayers, and secrets hiding right in plain sight.

In this world premiere production, In Her Bones explores the complicated legacy of crypto-Judaism in the Southwest, illuminating an unlikely alpine tale of secrecy, faith, fear, and how we pass on culture when written records are too dangerous to keep. Driven by a community-engaged, Colorado-based research process, this piece explores if our identities and rituals rise from earth and mountains where we spend our days, are inherited in the ancient stories of our blood, or are learned in the motions of mothers at sunset and overheard songs of grandparents.

SYNOPSIS: Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy based on the 1992 smash hit film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community, but in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
