Classics on the Rocks is seeking actors of all ethnicities, race, and gender identity for their upcoming 2026 /Summer season.

Our 2026 Season will include:

Shakesday

Shakesday is our annual one-night only birthday celebration for that brilliant bard. This 45-50 min performance is a collection of comedic and dramatic scenes, and monologues all tied together with a common theme and woven together for the audience by a narrator/host. The performance is followed by a complimentary wine and cupcake reception for all. The rehearsal process is fast and furious with each scene getting one working rehearsal followed by a full cast "dress" rehearsal where we put it all together.

Rehearsals:

Working Rehearsals: Thursday’s April 2, 9 and 16 from 6:30-9:30pm (Note: you will not be called the entire time, depending on which scene(s) you will be cast in.)

Dress Rehearsal: Sunday, April 19 from 2-5pm - full cast

Performance: Friday, April 24th (6-10pm, 7pm curtain)

Hamlet

Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece tells the story of a family torn apart by grief. This production of Hamlet asks what happens when grief goes unspoken, unexamined, or exploited. In Elsinore, no one is at their best. They are at their most human. The death of the King destabilizes not only a kingdom, but a family. Each character attempts to manage that loss according to their nature, and in doing so, reveals both their strength and their fatal flaw.

Rehearsals: Wed, Fri, Sundays in June and July - exact schedule and times to be finalized.

Performances: July 23 - 25

This is a non-union project. Producers may apply for equity showcase code status for Hamlet.

Please note the roles of Hamlet and Claudius have been pre-cast.

Auditions will be held March 16th from 6:30-9:30pm by appointment only with callbacks if needed on March 18th from 7-10. To be considered, please email a headshot and resume to [email protected].
