VIDEO SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

Please submit your headshot, resume, and audition video links at: https://docs.google.com/forms/... .

PLEASE, do not email video audition materials. To be considered for any shows in our 2026 season, remote audition materials must be submitted through the form link. Emailed submissions will be discarded.

Share video links for two contrasting contemporary monologues (less than 4 minutes total) or performers interested in either role in THE LAST FIVE YEARS, should submit two short, contrasting musical pieces (combined not to exceed three minutes)

Videos should be shared through YouTube, Vimeo or another accessible service.

Title attachments with LAST NAME FIRST for each submitted file (i.e., SmithHeadshot.jpg, or SmithKevinResume.pdf). Including first initial or first name after your last name is appreciated. Attachments should be .pdf or .jpg.

Video submission deadline is March 18th, 2026.


INTIMATE APPAREL

SEEKING:

Esther: African-American seamstress in New York City who sews intimate apparel for ladies of all levels of society. 30s

Mrs. Dickson: Widowed African-American woman who owns the boarding house where Esther lives. 50s+

Mrs. Van Buren: Wealthy, white American woman who orders fancy corsets from Esther and has also become her friend. 30s

Mr. Marks: A Romanian Jewish fabric seller who is friends with Esther. 30s

Mayme: An African-American prostitute who orders lingerie and has become good friends with Esther. 30s

George: A Barbadian man who initiates a correspondence with Esther while he is working to build the Panama Canal. He eventually comes to New York City and marries Esther. 30s


THE COTTAGE

Rehearsals start: June 8th

Performances: June 26th – July 12th

Note: All roles require British RP or regional accents, physical intimacy, mild comic violence


SEEKING:

Sylvia: Late 20s-early 40s. A lovely and rash romantic.

Beau: Late 20s-early 40s. Perhaps the best-looking man in Britain.

Marjorie: Late 20s-early 40s. 8 months pregnant, pragmatic, and a tad spicy.

Clark: Late 20s-early 40s. A distinguished gent with a lover’s spirit.

Dierdre: mid 20s to late 30s. An awfully pretty, sometimes wise, nincompoop.

Richard: Late 20s to early 40s. A murderous, yet gentle soul.


THE LAST FIVE YEARS

Cathy Hiatt: 20s-30s. a struggling actress, mezzo soprano.

Jamie Wellerstein: 20s-30s. a rising novelist, tenor.


PROOF

SEEKING:

Catherine: 20s, vulnerable, yet resilient and brilliant young woman grappling with the legacy of her father’s mathematical genius and her increasing fear that she inherited both his genius and his mental instability.

Claire: Late 20s–early 30s, a Wall Street currency analyst and Catherine’s practical yet somewhat distant older sister who tries to intervene in her life while dealing with her own insecurities.

Robert: 50–60s, a recently-deceased brilliant mathematician at the University of Chicago, praised for his groundbreaking work in his youth, but whose later years were plagued by delusional mental illness and often erratic behavior.

Harold (Hal) Dobbs: late 20s, a bright, likeable mathematician and a former student of Robert.
