AVALONA is a mystical musical experience, weaving together a multidimensional artform of song, sacred storytelling, dance, 3D visual projections, and interactive AI technology. The mission and soul of AVALONA is to open up the conversation of mental health awareness, see our connection to each other, and help raise the consciousness of the planet.

The world of AVALONA is a sacred place of magic, courage, and transformation… a place within us all. AVALONA, takes you on a spiritual journey of self-discovery, from darkness to light, from fear to freedom. You, “The Seeker”, follow the path of a woman, Avalona, who must make the conscious choice to Live, to Love, and to See, See beyond the veil of illusion which has blocked her from her true essence. When she chooses to see, the veil of illusion is lifted and she is thrust into a beautiful q, yet terrifying, odyssey. Will she be lost forever in a dream, or will she awaken to the magic of her own destiny? As we journey with her, we are each inspired to step into our own light, discover our own truth, and make the choice to LIVE… LOVE… SEE…

Seeking:

- The Guides / Ensemble: The Guides are twelve celestial beings and keepers of time. They are shapeshifters symbolizing both the dark & the light, the masculine & the feminine, and the conscious & the subconscious. They reveal themselves to Avalona, disguised in many forms, such as shamanic shadows, children from her past and The Shadow’s handmaids, to help her navigate through the darkness by assisting her in healing and integrating the fragmented pieces of her soul.

- Age range 18 – 35

- Strong dancers, stylistically versatile (true ballet/modern technique + street sensibility + unique partnering/ability to lift + puppetry), high technical skill that includes grace, as well as athleticism - there will be simple group background vocal parts, so dancers who sing are encouraged - as well as could fill potential lead back up positions. Male, Female, Non-binary encouraged

Rehearsal | Show Dates and Compensation: ( Please Note DATES Needed )

- Rehearsals begin December (3rd-19) daytimes (in NYC) $550 per wk

- Rehearsals in Space in NYC) $650 per wk

- January 2nd - 18th (no Sundays)

- Show Days January 14-17 (possible 18th filming) (UWS NYC) $850

Auditon Details:

- Please submit dance reel, photo and resume by Friday 11/22, 12pmEST for consideration. Please include slate.

- If you would also like to audition for a lead understudy as well, please specify which role and submit a 32 bar cut of a pop/rock selection in the style of the show.

Avalona: She embodies the soul’s journey from fear to freedom, from darkness to light. Together, You and Avalona will confront your fears and overcome the challenges that prevent you from stepping into a deeper sense of truth and purpose. She is your companion on this inner journey of healing and self-discovery where You are given the opportunity to make the conscious choice to LIVE… LOVE… SEE…

- Age range 22 – 32

- Powerful pop / rock voice - warm tone & strong belt with deep emotional connection and an ethereal spiritual quality in sound and presence.

The Child: She is Avalona’s inner Child whose light dims as Avalona shuts herself off from the magic, wonder and joy of her true essence. She becomes furious at Avalona for abandoning her, yet through courage and compassion, she is able to find forgiveness. She represents the inner Child within all of us, whom we must heal and embrace in order to become whole.

- Age range 8 - 12

- Warm smooth tone, strong belt, haunted yet gentle quality to sound and presence

The Shaman Goddess: She is the wise Sage and Avalona’s teacher on this journey. The Shaman embodies the Divine Feminine within us all and symbolizes our sacred connection to the earth. She provides Avalona the tools and lessons needed to face her fears, stand in her truth, and align with her higher self, as she navigates through the darkness to the light.

- Age range 30 – 50

- Powerful rock / gospel voice - warm tone & strong belt with deep emotional connection. With her voice and presence she must be able to transform the stage into a sacred space of spiritual celebration and community.

The Shadow: He represents the individual and collective darkness that exists within us all. He embodies the shadow self, compelling Avalona to face her deepest fears. The Shadow teaches us to honor and respect the darkness, while reminding us that we are free to choose the light. Avalona must confront him in order to move forward on her journey, understanding that the balance between the light and the dark is the sacred dance within all things.

- Age range 27- 45

- Powerful rock voice & strong belt with dark, mysterious and ominous energy - whisky dust edge & gritty sound a plus. This role could be Male, Female - non-binary encouraged

The Weaver of Time: She is the embodiment of Avalona’s higher self, who through alchemy, with her mystical golden threads, weaves the path for Avalona along her journey of healing and self discovery. As the expression of knowledge, wisdom and full integration; she symbolizes the higher self within each of us. She is the voice of our inner guidance, when we truly listen. The Weaver of Time steps into the physical form as The Spider to send Avalona messages from the Divine.

- Age range 33 – 50

- Powerful pop / ethereal rock voice - strong belt - warm deep tone & strong belt with an other worldly mystical sound and energy.
