Position: Associate Production Manager @ Bay Street Theater - Summer 2025

Compensation: $1,120/week

Reports to: Director of Production

Location: The position is on-site, in Sag Harbor, NY. Housing is provided.

Schedule: The work schedule is determined by the Director of Production. This position requires regular evening and weekend work in conjunction with BSTs performance calendar. This is a seasonal position.

Start Date of Employment: May 5, 2025

End Date of Employment: September 7, 2025

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILTIES

The BST mainstage season features the mounting of 4 productions and other special events.

This post requires regular evening and weekend work in conjunction with BSTs performance calendar.

This is a seasonal position and does not carry with it any eligibility for additional BST employee benefits other than those listed within this agreement.

The APM general responsibilities will include:

- Assist Director of Production to oversee all production budgets in coordination with department heads

- Assist Director of Production to oversee and coordinate all aspects of production (i.e. Stage Managers, Technical Director Designers, Props, Wardrobe, etc.)

- Create and distribute production related calendars as needed

- Regularly meet with all production department heads to coordinate schedules, track budgets, and determine personnel needs

- Assist Director of Production to update and manage production inventories of tools, equipment, soft goods, and expendables in conjunction with the Technical Supervisor

- Assist Director of Production to coordinate load-in and load-out schedules with department heads, designers, stage manager, and director

- Assist Director of Production to coordinate all transportation of lighting, props, costumes, scenic elements, and rental equipment

- Assist Director of Production to determine running crew assignments

- Assist Director of Production to manage the accounting of production related expenditures including collection and coding of all receipts and invoices in conjunction with individual department heads (i.e. carpentry, shop, painting, costume, props, building etc.)

- Assist Director of Production to submit weekly payroll for production overhire and AP for production

- Run shows or swing in on runcrew as needed.

ADDITIONAL SPECIAL EVENTS

- Assist Director of Production to Coordinate coverage and implementation of design elements and run crew staffing of other summer season programs including Music Mondays, Readings, and others special events/projects.

- Assist Director of Production to coordinate production responsibilities to staff, plan, and execute such special events

Bay Street Theater + the Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is a year-round, not-for-profit professional theater and community cultural center which endeavors to innovate, educate, and entertain a diverse community through the practice of the performing arts. We serve as a social and cultural gathering place, an educational resource, and a home for a community of artists. Bay Street Theater (BST) strives to be a home to the East Ends performing arts community, as well as a professional LORT summer theater festival. The BST mainstage season features the mounting of 3-4 full theatrical or musical productions, weekly comedy events and musical concerts, an annual fundraising Gala, arts education workshops and camps for children, and much more.
