The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University seeks an Assistant / Associate Professor of Musical Theatre Dance (Tenure Track or Professor of Practice), starting fall 2025. The new hire will join an internationally recognized department with a dynamic faculty and top ranked musical theatre program that celebrates a highly vetted student population with a <2.6% acceptance rate. Responsibilities include: Teach a course load of 3/3, (potential courses may include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre Dance, and Musical Theatre History); Choreograph at least one mainstage musical per year; Serve as Co-Head of the Musical Theatre Area; Other department / university service may be assigned in accordance with rank.
