Synopsis: Over the course of a single month, a grieving young man and his feisty 91-year-old grandmother by turns infuriate, bewilder and ultimately reach each other as they cohabitate in her West Village apartment.

Seeking:

Leo Joseph-Connell (Male/Early 20’s) - A restless, charming, emotionally wounded young man whose intelligence and humor barely conceal grief, guilt, and a desperate need to feel anchored after loss. Impulsive and deeply sensitive, he longs for connection while repeatedly undermining the very stability he seeks.

Vera Joseph (Female/Early to Late 80’s) - Leo’s fiercely independent, sharp-witted grandmother whose blunt humor and stubborn pride mask deep loneliness, tenderness, and a lifetime of emotional resilience. Both caustic and profoundly loving, she forms an unexpected bond with Leo that reveals her vulnerability as much as her strength.

Amanda/Lily (Female/Late Teens to Early 20’s) - Chinese American. A warm, awkward, emotionally open college student whose gentleness and honesty offer Leo comfort, while her youth and clarity quietly highlight his emotional instability. Her humor and vulnerability create a tender, fragile connection that is as sincere as it is temporary.

Bec (Female/Early 20’s) - Leo’s driven, idealistic, emotionally intelligent girlfriend whose ambition and moral clarity clash with Leo’s emotional avoidance, forcing her to choose growth over comfort. Fiercely compassionate yet uncompromising, she loves deeply but refuses to stay in a relationship that no longer honors who she is becoming.
